Warner Short Breaks: A Review Of the Studley Castle Hotel

Warner Short Breaks A Review of the Studley Castle Hotel

Nothing could have ready us for what was to come as we turned onto Studley Castle Drive. The stunning Studley Castle Hotel was prominently visible in the distance, enticing us to join her for our prearranged quick getaway in Warwickshire as we turned the corner onto the tree-lined avenue.

We were eager to begin the story because, as you can understand, it seemed like we were about to enter a fairy tale. It was an amazing moment. Never before have I been more eager to check into a hotel as I was on this particular Friday afternoon. Read more studley castle reviews on this article.

The Hotel Check-In

When we got off the drive, someone met us and told us to give our bags to the porter. The porter would then take them to our room. After that, we drove to the parking lot and went to the front desk of the hotel. When we walked in, there were cups of prosecco and proud unicorn heads on the wall. We looked everywhere with our eyes.
As we went a few steps further into the hotel lobby, it became very clear what the theme of the decor was. The story of Alice in Wonderland was being shown off in a big way at Studley Castle. The fancy walls and high-end furniture really set the tone for the whole hotel stay. We were stepping into a wonderful adult fairy tale, but in the nicest way possible. Our story was about the promise of a fun and relaxing short break.

Our hotel room

Our hotel room was the first place we went. We were really looking forward to staying at Studley Castle, and we weren’t let down at all. Our hotel room on the ground floor was just what you’d expect from a high-end hotel. The blue colour scheme went well with everything, and the local finishes were perfect. I fell in love with the custom light that had a historical map of Studley Castle printed on it. The prints in frames on the wall also went really well with the room.

We had two very comfy beds, a large bathroom, and a good-sized dressing table. There were also two very comfortable chairs and a coffee table. On the other side of the room, there were patio doors that led to the back of Studley Castle’s fields. You might picture rolling fields, sheep bellowing, and lovely sunsets. Everything we saw proved what we already thought. We were really going to have a great time.

Eating at the Studley Castle Hotel

There are two places at Studley Castle, and I had a great time at both of them. In the Evesham Restaurant, the Market Kitchen serves a lovely range of freshly cooked food. Even though you can help yourself, this is not a spread. You can order fresh fish, and there is a carvery and a speciality stand as well. Indian and French food were the main themes of our time.

The server brought the starters to the table and also made sure we had drinks. The cooks and our waiter were both very nice. At the brand-new Warner Leisure Hotel, everyone was so nice and willing to help. It was clear that they all wanted everyone to enjoy their short break.

I ate both the fresh fish and the French food, and they were both very tasty. You can choose from many types of meals, such as salads, freshly cooked veggies, breads, cheeses, and more. Also, The Pudding Shop is a great treat. It has a rotating ice cream dispenser with a huge range of flavours and a lot of hand-made desserts. It’s hard to choose just one, but you can always have two if you’re really having a hard time!

You can also get breakfast at the Evesham Restaurant. You can expect the same freshly cooked food, like haddock and scrambled eggs, Eggs Benedict, or a full English if that’s how you like to start your day.

If you’d rather have your food brought to your table, the Arden Cafe Bar and Restaurant is the place to go. The place where I had lunch was great, and the food was even better.

How to spend your time at Studley Castle

Folks who want to try something new, see more of the area, or just relax will love Studley Castle because there are so many things to do there. You can use the locally made Pashley bikes to ride around the grounds and the neighbourhood. Other things you can do are gun shooting, archery, and laser clay pigeon shooting.

All of Studley Castle’s hotel events are included in the price of their short breaks. You can book as many as you want, and I can promise you that the teachers will be very helpful and the activities will be a lot of fun.

A lot more fun than I thought it would be, shooting a gun was something we did. I even hit the target, which I didn’t expect at all!

Also, I can’t forget to tell you about The Stables Spa at Studley Castle. We’ve been to the spa at the Thoresby Hall Hotel a few times, so I was really excited to come here. The service and the place are both amazing.

The pool and spa look out over the front of Studley Castle. This part of the pool has no walls, so you can see the castle grounds without any obstructions. For a second, you might have been forgiven for thinking you were outside. I think this will look lovely all year, but I think it will look especially magical if it snows at Christmas at Studley Castle. The Stable Spa even has hotel rooms, so if you know that this will be a big part of your stay, you should book one of those for your short break.

This spa has a steam room, a sauna, and a gym. They also offer a range of beauty services that you can book (for an extra fee) and give yourself a massage or facial with one of their lovely therapists. If you really want to get the most out of your stay at Studley Hall, I strongly suggest that you add a beauty service to your schedule.

Getting to know Stratford-upon-Avon and other nearby sights

Warner Leisure loves to help their guests get out and see new places, and short breaks are the perfect time to do that. On Tuesdays and Saturdays, you can catch the hotel bus at Studley Castle. It will take you to and from Stratford Upon Avon. Since it can be hard to find a parking spot in this famous tourist spot, this service is meant to make it easier for people to get around the area.

Other places you can visit are the Shakespeare company, which makes sense for a gin company, or the Purity Brewery Company if you’d rather drink beer. You can also visit Warwick Castle or the lovely Cotswolds for the day.

Saturday morning, we went to the Shakespeare Distillery, which was a great experience. A talk was given about the history of gin and how the Shakespeare Distillery and other small handmade distilleries got started.

I think this is interesting for everyone, even if they don’t like gin very much. Both the background of gin and how to make it are things that the owners of Shakespeare Distillery know a lot about. If you like gin, you can also try some of the other tasty drinks that Shakespeare Distillery makes.

Fun things to do at the Studley Castle Hotel

The great fun programme on Warners short breaks is one of the things that make them famous. During the weekend we were there, we saw some great live music, including the beautiful Cassidy Janson.

We went out to the garden terrace on Saturday night for cocktails and to enjoy what turned out to be the longest day of the year and the real start of summer. The weather was great, the sun was out, and everyone was chilling out. If you thought things couldn’t get any better, there were stilt walkers and amazing live circus acts after that. The mood for the party had really arrived.

Our next stop was the Evesham Restaurant for dinner and a live set by Cassidy. I can tell you it was a big room because her voice filled it with emotional hits like “Natural Women.”

After that, a number of live musical groups were introduced by Jo Whiley, a well-known DJ on Radio 1 and Radio 2. Things were still fun and entertaining late into the night, when Jo Whiley played her best dance floor songs for those who wanted to get up and dance.

Why we believe Studley Castle is good

The Studley Castle Hotel just opened to the public in March of this year, so there aren’t many hotel reviews online about it yet. You shouldn’t let that stop you from booking a stay here, because Studley Castle really is a great place to take a short break and relax.

You will enjoy your time here in every way, from the friendly staff when you arrive to the delicious food. Warner Leisure spent about £50 million on a very impressive repair project at Studley Castle. The castle and the houses around it have both been carefully brought back to their former glory. There are also some new parts, but I think you’ll agree that they only make what was there better.

I think you will also fall in love with Studley Castle like we did. While you’re there, take a walk through the lovely grounds. You can do this at any time of the day. It’s also easy to walk into the nearby town, or if you want to go a little farther, you can follow the bridal path to the nearby church.

I loved the inside the most. There were so many cute touches, like the rabbit’s pocket watch, peacocks sitting at the piano, and grass chairs. There are lots of little things that will make you fall in love, and you will love looking for them. I guess I should make a Studley Castle treasure hunt and see how many you can find.
